The concrete, the talent, the rush, everything is overwhelming.  I moved to Mumbai a year ago, but this city has left me awestruck with all the charm, made me realize life at a whole new level! But sometimes, it gets too much. Sometimes you just want to run away to a place that rejuvenates you, right?

One such place to where you can flee to, to calm you down and also to motivate and prepare you to live life stronger, is the “Pink City” Jaipur. If you are over the clichéd hill stations, mountains, Jaipur is the place to go to trust me.

One of the convenient ways to reach Jaipur from Mumbai is by bus. Starting fare of tickets would be from INR 1700. It takes around 22 Hrs 55 minutes to reach Jaipur by bus, which also depends upon the traffic.  Two efficient bus operators for Mumbai to Jaipur journey are Gujarat Travels and Rishabh Travels. They provide different types of buses for convenient travel. These buses pass through major boarding terminals in Mumbai. The boarding points for buses that will take you to Jaipur are S.T Road Chembur, Bank of Baroda Sion, Kalanagar bus stop Bandra (East), Andheri opposite Bahar Cinema and Borivali opposite National Park.


There are a total of 11 trains running from Mumbai to Jaipur. 1 GaribRath train, 1 Mail/Express train, 1 Duronto train, 7 Superfast trains and 1 Suvidha train runs from Mumbai to Jaipur. Estimated time taken to reach Jaipur by train is 18 hrs 55 to 24hours, for about 1179.62 kms. Boarding stations are Bandra Terminus, Kalyan Junction, Mumbai Central, Panvel Junction, Vasai Road and Dadar Western. The destination station for these trains is Jaipur Junction. There are many applications available that you can use online to track your train and you don’t have to think about where is my train again ever.


You have the option of flights to reach Jaipur as well, in case you are keen on saving time. It takes about 1 hour 55 minutes to 4 hours, depending upon the airline you choose.

You can also choose to do a road trip to Jaipur, if you have a crazy bunch of friends! You can take the Ahmedabad – Varodara Express highway and halt at Udaipur in between.

Places to visit in Jaipur:

Jaipur, the “pink city”, is rich in architectural buildings inspired by the Indian Vastu concepts. Hawa Mahal, Amber fort and the City Palace are a must visits if you are there. Jai Mahal or the Water Palace also attracts a lot of tourists since it is located in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake. The architecture of this is admirable!

ChokhiDhani is another thing you don’t want to miss! I suggest you visit after 5 pm to witness the place all lit up. You can enjoy rajasthani dances, cuisines, and even get a camel ride there!
